This Is The Escapee Insider is a weekly-ish newsletter focused on helping those stuck in corporate take back control of their time, money and most importantly, their future.
Well it was another up and down week on my goal towards 500 Collective members by July 4th.
I picked up 3 new members and brought our total to 151 (349 to go!). The good news from the week is I may have unlocked a key to growth.
We held our first IRL mini-event this week. I wasn’t sure if I would have 2 people or 20. We ended up with 7 making the event. What I learned even with a smaller group was the in-person is very powerful. I had known a few escapees for over a year and still learned something new about each of them.
This will become part of our connection and collaboration strategy. I am going to plan a bigger event in Chicago in April so stay tuned!
I also continue to review pricing and tiers to better align with the value of the Collective. This can be frustrating and it is a work in progress.
I did decide to bring back the $1 for the first 30 day offer. Our conversation rate has been high and I like the low risk option for potential escapees.
The other aha for the week was the member’s enthusiasm for officially launching The Small Business Hotline (TheSmallBusinessHotline.com) is where I will connect small businesses with the experience of the Collective. I will share more in coming weeks.
I also wrote a little bit about me being my own worst enemy and my biggest blocker at times. You can read the full post here
